    В своей организации сделали сайт поддержки - эсесно на jooml`e. Он доступен в явном виде так ip-adress/site_name. Хотим, чтобы пользователи могли обращаться к нему по адресу site_name.local. На DNS-сервере прописали его в прямой и обратных зонах. Но когда обращаемся к нему таким образом видим только бодренький ответ apache: It`s work. Через слеш нужно все равно дописывать название папки, которая лежит на сервере и в которой храниться сам сайт. Как сделать редирект, чтобы пользователи писали в адресной строке site_name.local сразу попадали на главную страницу портала? Эт где нужно править?

    хммм. на счет url понять не могу - какой нужно указывать?
    напишу подробнее - у меня сейчас сайт доступен по адресу help.local/help. Как сделать, чтобы был доступен по адресу help.local? Чтобы пользователь мог написать этот адрес и попасть на главную страницу.

    Набрав адрес домена ip-adress/site_name ,юзера перенаправит на site_name.local
    Или покупайте новый домен site_name.local

    Мне нужно, чтобы пользователь набрав name_site.local попал на главную страницу. Набрав, как Вы указали ip-adress/site_name пользователь итак попадает на сайт. Но, как Вы понимаете для тётенек из фин.управления это тяжеловато пока что.Смысла покупать домен нет. Для чего? Ведь сайт будет только для внутреннего пользования. Тем более что ресурсы для этого имеются.
    Попробовал добавить url так, как Вы предлогали, у меня просто дописывается к адресу тот же самый адрес и в итоге - object not found. Мож еще что-нибудь попробовать?

    В код шаблона сайта добавить редирект на нужный урл.
    Вот пример моего редиректа,из свежего, http://fond-upme.ru ,а редирект на http://культурныйфонд.рф

    Хммм. Может оно так и заработает, но у меня пока что нет. может быть из-за апача? Когда я просто пишу адрес сервера, у меня в браузере отображается it work! Через слеш дописываю каталог, в котором лежит сайт - попадаю на него. Как сделать, чтобы сразу по имени попадать на сайт?

    мин.Можно конфиг wwwdomain сайта из httpd-conf , или из файла настроек подключаемого к httpd-conf

    Всё, заработало так как нужно. У меня система opensuse. Положил сайт в папку public_html и каким-то чудом, я еще сам до конца не понял, настроил HTTP сервер. Теперь гуд.

    Настройки домена в файле /etc/apache2/vhosts.d/*.conf. Ну уже не нужно.
    Я правильно понимаю-есть сайт на своём сервере,и нужно чтобы именно сотрудники перенаправлялись на нужный хост?
