Для чего нужен файл fetchscript.php и зачем его отключают? Как я понял от сюда http://www.joomlahackers.net/virtuemart-tutorials/how-to-switch-off-fetchscript-in-virtuemart.html связанно это с gzip сжатием файлов, но что именно делает файле не понятно. Какие проблемы могут возникнуть при отключении файла fetchscript.php ?
вообще то по скриптам - этот файл нужен для подключения других файлов в процессе работы VM т.е. на лету, а не сразу как это делает INCLUDE и REQUERE
