Как установить модуль JPortfolio? Объясните юзеру популярнее...

скачать дистрибьютив (кстати, это компонент, а не модуль). если к нему специальных инструкций нет, то зайти в админке в "установка и удаление" -> "установка компонентов", выбрать там архив дистрибьютива и нажать "установить".

Вот help, но я не понял:

This is a portfolio (showcase) component, where you can show multiple samples of your work (called projects), in different categories. For each category and project you can enter description (using editor) and include one image.

Location of portfolio folders and images depends on "base path" parameter, initially set to images/stories/. Category images should be in this folder. Each category must have its folder, where images for projects are stored.

Component supports upload of images from backend, when creating new category or project, or when editing existing one.

JPortfolio is compatible with Joom!Fish. If you have Joom!Fish installed, see below - there should be option to copy JPortfolio definition files to /com_joomfish/contentelements/ folder. After that you will be able to translate titles and descriptions of categories and projects.

Frontend view of your portfolio depends on CSS file, which can be changed and edited from backend. Few sample CSS files are included. For best results, sizes of images used should correspond to sizes of divs in CSS file.

After you create menu position pointing to the component, you can change the following parameters: back button, page navigation and default number of projects displayed.




After installation, you should have the example category with sample projects created. Example folder should be created also (test_jportfolio) with images in it.

In order for your website visitors to be able to search for a project, you need to download JPortfolio SearchBot from Anetus downloads (thanks to Rob Taylor from TD Media), install and publish it.

Если установка и последующее использование компонента JPortfolio не критично для Вашего проекта, в плане того, что его нужно любыми усилиями добить, чего бы это на самом деле не стоило - рекомендую не менее достойную альтернативу, компонент Portfol - языковой файл с переводом на русский язык выкладывал тут.
